Singh Receives Support of Michigan NOW

The Michigan National Organization for Women (NOW) announced today that it will be supporting Sam Singh for State Representative. Singh is one of two candidates in the 69th District race to receive their support.

“I am truly humbled to receive the support of Michigan NOW,” said Singh. “The recent events in the state legislature to silence the voices of women legislators are a clear example of how far we have yet to go in the struggle to provide equal opportunity for all Michiganders. From fighting for pay equity, to protecting the fundamental right to choose, I will always stand up with Michigan NOW and women across our state to ensure we are making progress.”

NOW’s purpose is to “take action to bring women into full participation in the mainstream of American society now, exercising all privileges and responsibilities thereof in truly equal partnership with men.” Singh was one of 48 candidates statewide to receive Michigan NOW’s support, which reflects his leadership on women’s issues and his strong stance on protecting a woman’s right to chose.
